Sleep apnea screening

Breathing pauses during sleep that last longer than ten seconds and occur more than five times an hour are known as sleep apnea syndrome. Breathing stops lasting more than two minutes and those that occur up to 600 times a night are not uncommon. As a consequence patients suffer from chronic fatigue and daytime sleepiness.

These apnea incidents can now be medically clarified on an outpatient basis thanks to state-of-the-art technology. We supply you with a small device the size of a mobile phone which you take home and you sleep comfortably in your bed while the recordings are running. Oxygen saturation, breathing effort of the chest as well as the respiratory air flow with snoring events are documented and the result is subsequently discussed with you.
